StatSheet's America East Player of the Week for December 31st goes to Stony Brook's Dave Coley. StatSheet's America East Freshman of the Week goes to Boston University's Maurice Watson Jr.. And finally, Malik Thomas from Boston University has won StatSheet's America East 6th Man of the Week. Coley registered 6 rebounds per game, 3 assists per game, and 60% shooting. The Stony Brook junior played well in a loss to Seton Hall.

This is the first StatSheet America East Player of the Week honor for Dave Coley. However, he has received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is our own Justin Edwards. Honorable mention goes to Jacob Iati, a senior from Albany.

StatSheet America East Freshman of the Week: Boston University's Maurice Watson Jr.

Maurice Watson Jr. played an average of 33 minutes as a starter for Boston University. His average in assists (3.5 per game) topped all America East freshmen. In a 64-48 loss to Belmont, Watson Jr. topped the Terriers in scoring with 11 points and tossed in 4 assists. Following that in a massive 71-44 win against Howard, he dialed up 71% shooting and 3 steals.

This is a first for Maurice Watson Jr., who has never won the StatSheet America East Freshman of the Week. Evan Cooper from Hartford gets runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Nathan Dieudonne from Boston University. Till Gloger, who finished 4th, was the highest ranking freshman for Maine.

StatSheet America East 6th Man of the Week: Boston University's Malik Thomas

Malik Thomas, a 6-7 Sophomore guard/forward, averaged 20 minutes over the two games for the Terriers. In the loss to Belmont, Thomas took the lead in rebounding for the Terriers with 7 and added 3 steals. Then in the victory against Howard, he racked up 7 rebounds and 71% shooting.

This is the second StatSheet America East 6th Man of the Week award for Malik Thomas. Luke Devlin, a junior forward from Albany, is runner up. Clancy Rugg, a junior forward from Vermont, earns honorable mention. Maine has yet to win StatSheet America East Player of the Week.
