Gerardo Suero from Albany has earned StatSheet's America East Player of the Week award for February 6th. Four McGlynn from Vermont has earned StatSheet's America East Freshman of the Week.

Suero was the America East leader in scoring (26.5 pts per game) and free throws (8.5 per game). He also put up a strong showing in shooting (50%), rebounding (5 per game), and assists (3 per game). The Albany junior played well for the Great Danes in a win against Maryland-Baltimore County and an unfortunate loss to Stony Brook.

Suero led scoring for the Great Danes with 32 points on 66% shooting in an 87-76 win against Maryland-Baltimore County. He then led all scoring and rebounding with a 21 point and 7 rebound performance in a 76-69 loss to Stony Brook.

This is a familiar honor for Gerardo Suero, who has been selected StatSheet America East Player of the Week six times. He has also been a runner-up once. The runner-up this week is our own Alasdair Fraser. Honorable mention goes to senior Alvin Abreu from New Hampshire.

StatSheet America East Freshman of the Week: Vermont's Four McGlynn

Four McGlynn was on the floor an average of 23 minutes starting both games for Vermont. In a late 68-67 win over Boston University, McGlynn contributed 11 points on 62% shooting. Then in a massive 82-56 win over Hartford, he put up 14 points and 2 rebounds.

This is the second StatSheet America East Freshman of the Week award for Four McGlynn. Our own Justin Edwards grabs runner-up. Yolonzo Moore from Hartford takes honorable mention. Maine has one StatSheet America East Player of the Week win this season.
